I’ve watched tis movie a few weeks back. I would like to share my xperience with others that tis movie is badass!! From the start till the end of the movie kept my adrenaline rushing. 300 is a real candy for the eyes, the sound track is amazing, and the story is well told. I have waited for tis movie to hit the big screen eons ago. For those of u out there u never knew anything bout tis movie, it is actually based on a comic by Frank Miller (the artist of Sin City). Some people who haven’t read the comic might wonder what all the fuss is about. It’s an impressive comic, and the movie rocks as well. So read on!

300 have been collected in a beautiful “wide-screen” hardcover, so it’s not too hard to find. I bought them way back in 1999 and is still in near mint condition. During those days It’s a perfect book to give to a non-comic book fan, since it’s a graphic retelling of the Spartan defense at Thermopylae in 480 B.C. Tis mini series consist of 5 issues. The picture is the scanned version of the comics. I dislike it at first cause all Frank Miller’s comics are an eyesore. The images are poor, almost grotesque. But as we read on.. We tend to forgive the drawing cause we eventually will get hooked to the story. It’s historically inspired, not historically accurate; Miller’s more interested in the myth and legend than detail.

The story is pretty straightforward, and Miller outlines it well in issue #1. The Persian king Xerxes wants to take over the world. He sends a messenger to Sparta telling them he wants a token gesture of submission. The Spartan king Leonidas kills the messenger and prepares for war. Leonidas plans to stop the Persian advance at a narrow pass through the mountains, a pass bordered on the other side by the sea. The Persian numbers will not be a factor because of the little space, and Spartans will kill them easily. If u wanna know more u just have to go and watch the movie.

The sad part bout tis is that many people are making it controversial. The Persians are mad at the movie claiming that tis is not historically accurate and is a blasphemy to the Iranians. In tis country people are condemning the movie by saying that it is too violent, too adultery and too… aarrgghh u get the point. They even planned to ban the movie. But who cares. 300 was an amazing work of art and nothing more. It was entertainment, capturing the myth and glory of ancient Greece. NOT a historically accurate vision of Greece. But some of the part in the movie or the comic are historiacally true if not accurate. Sigh… Can’t you people watch the movie for what it is? A piece of art? If u want to quarrel bout the historically inaccuracy of the story, might as well watch National Georgraphic channel or the Discovery channel.

No smoking week

Well I'm feeling kinda sick lately. Started out with a sore throat.. then shiver all over. Till now my throat is like on fire. It spoils my appetite and my mood for the day. So like it or not I have to stop smoking for a while. Here is sumthin I found out in frester posted by my x classmate apisz. Mael if u read tis entry don try and start a fire ok? Don start smoking. hehehe...

1.Perokok merupakan penyumbang pendapatan negara dari segi cukai rokok yg dikenakan. So, hangpa kena pikiq…tanpa perokok, mcm mana negara nak maju. Walaupun kerajaan nak naikkan lagi harga rokok, perokok cuma mengeluh sebentar sahaja and then terus menghisap dan membeli rokok demi kemajuan negara. So, perokok lagi bagus drpd depa yg tak bayar incometax. Kita harus bangga ngan perokok nih :)

2.Merokok dalam tandas dapat menghilangkan bau yg kurang enak. Anda tentu lebih rela menghidu asap rokok berbanding bau….errr….anda paham kan???

3.Rokok boleh meningkatkan produktiviti. Ini terserlah semasa kenduri kendara di kampung, dimana anak2 muda amat rajin membasuh pinggan sekiranya dapat rokok free dari tuan rumah.

4.Merokok dapat menambah kenalan baru. Contohnya sekiranya anda tiadal ighter untuk mencucuh rokok, perokok boleh tegur sapa2 saja yg dia suka..’errr..lighter ada tak?’ tanpa rasa segan silu lgsung. Secara tak langsung mengeratkan silaturrahim sesama manusia tanpa mengira darjat,bangsa atau agama. Org tak hisap rokok mana berani nak pi tegur org tak tentu hala kann??? Nk tegor org tanyer jln pun malu beb!

5.Rokok boleh menghilangkan bau mulut. Bau rokok rasanya lebih enak berbanding dari bau mulut yg busuk tambah2 baru lepas makan petai, jering dan seangkatan dgnnya...hehhe..

6.Perokok seorang yg tak kedekut. Anda boleh ”pow“ rokok kat sapa2 pun..tak kenal pun takpa. 95%org yg anda ”pow“ tu akan bagi rokok kat anda.

7.Tengok…betapa pemurahnya perokok. Tapi jgn mintak duit…perokok memang kedekut kalau mintak duit.

8.Perokok seorang yg mempunyai hati yg kental. Ini terbukti apabila dia ketagihan rokok, tanpa menghiraukan apa2 atau sapa2…perokok dgn hati yg kental tetap pegi merokok.

9.Merokok dapat menghalau musuh.Contohnya anda tak suka org tuh mendampingi anda…so, anda hisap rokok byk2…hembus asap kat muka dia. Tentu dia lari kann…Di samping itu, rokok dapat jugak menghalau nyamuk tapi tetap takleh halau tebuan.

10.Merokok dapat menambah keyakinan diri. Perokok tau rokok tu bahaya…tapi perokok tetap buat bodo saja. Tengok…keyakinan terhadap diri sendiri amat tinggi.

The sad thing is that, I found out that nowadays most smokers are women. There is this one nite when I was ‘lepaking’ with my fren at Coffee Bean. We were bz chatting until I felt like smoking. I popped out a cigarette and guess what? I forgot to bring my lighter along and have to borrow it from someone. I looked around and see so many people smoking around me. But DAMN! No guys. All the smokers around me were female... I felt embarrassed but the urge is too strong.. so I just go and borrow a lighter of a girl that sat in front of me. She said ok no prob .. ark.. I guess this is what they meant by living in the world of modernization…

Desktop

Referring to mohdismail.net entry entitled Desktop, the webmaster wanted bloggers to demonstrate their own desktop. So here is mine.. My desktop theme is simple yet practical. I prefer simplicity rather than complex or haywired desktop for the sake of watching it all day long without having a bash on the brain or sore on the eyes.

The XPS background is courtesy of Dell (refer to my pc model). A splash of blood red on the visual style add up some details to my Desktop. As u all may notice, I dislike icons on my desktop coz they tend to make the desktop seems crowded. I'm a Virgo person after all.. so I prefer something neat. Hehehe.. Later I added some functional stuff such as an analog clock, a calender so that I dont need to double click on the clock at the start menu every time to know today's date and a weather forecase, just in case I forgot to bring my umbrella along. And not to miss that one BIG recycle bin at the right end corner. So there u hav it. My very own unique desktop. Are u willing to share urs??

McD price Boost

I was on my way back to Kuantan the other day from Shah Alam. I stopped by at Puchong and fetch my girl and went straight away to Gombak. She wanted to see the Deputy Dean and we ended up waiting for that guy until 12 p.m.. guess what? to no surprise that guy never came, he even turn off his phone for the whole day. Darn! I was so pissed. We decided to leave to Kuantan ASAP. After a few minutes of driving we finally reached the R&R and stop by at Genting Sempah McD outlet. The time was 13.20p.m. and wow... am I hungry. I havnt got the time to eat my breakfast. So we hurried in and ordered our favourite menu.. and to my surprise... WTF!! The price has gone up! The so called value meal has increase its value but still maintain the quantity of the food. I'm sure the price was lower the last time I went to McD. So b4 I feel dz thinking deeply bout these pricing matters I decided to asked the casher instead.

Me : Eh harge dh naik ker?
Casher : Aah.. sejak bulan 3 aritu
Me : Ooo yeke? Baru gk ler?
Casher : Mmg dh naik.. sorry
Me : Eh nape sorry lk? awak xde wat silapkan?
Casher : Smiles
Then I feel a force on my side.. Oww.. (Ok got the point, no flurting with other girls ) So tat's the drama...

So back to the main story... McD has boost their price without any notice wat so ever. Or did I missed the announcement? Although the increment is not that significant but it is still noticable. I always go and eat at McD. So dont try to fool me la the price I know oredi maa.. While the goverment are trying to remove fast food commercial away from the box known as the television and other mass media, most fast food industry are trying so hard to get the public attention by lowering their prices.. like mamee for instance.. but not McD I think they can increase the price willingly.

For those of u out there wether u guys notice or not, McD can survive in the market even without relying on commercials. The world will never be the same once you've taken a snack at McD's restaurant. Most of us like myself I are craving for McD. I can still remember the time when I was a student, me and my frens would travel kilometers away just to go and eat at McD. Haa.. Look on the brightside of the story. The gud thing bout the price hike is that the higher the price, the thinner our wallet will likely become. The thinner the wallet the lesser we will go to McD. In the end we can eventually eat sumthing rather nutricious to the body and not those sloppy fast food that tend to reduce the amount of health that we have. Yeah right! Does tis makes any sense?

First Ink

Well this is the 1st time I'm posting a blog on Blogspot. I'm sick & tired of posting blogs on friendster. I can't get anything rite on that **** site. A lot of people suggest that I should try tis blog service instead, and would experience less frustration. Is it true? I can only hope ...
